im planned to go abroad..!!

hello..!!
im geraldin minoza..i am 18 years old...
i have planned to go the abroad...but i dont have enough money to do what i want... and i am a first time in this site..my friend was told me his site..in thats why i try to go the forum to know what content here in this site....
and i try to read if what i see now...and i try to post here...i am enjoing here...i hope someday i been abroad...thats all...thank you.!!

Hi geraldinm, welcome to OFW Forum.

It might be a good idea to know people in this community and they may give good guidances as most of them are working abroad.

In my personal opinion, you might want to gain some experience in the Philippines first, since you are so young. The global economic situation is worsen day by day and it might not be a good time looking for a job abroad, especially when you don't have much of experience at young age.

hi geraldin. yes, take mabuhay's advice for u. s/he is right. you are still too young. at your age, your concentration must be your studies. it is okay for you to dream on going abroad someday but you have to prepare yourself first at all aspects. going abroad is not always a bed of roses. aside from physical struggle, the most common problem of OFWs is on the psychological part. Some are not used to being away from their loved ones which is resulted to suffering from homesickness. and of course, attaining an education is also a vital one in going abroad so may i reiterate be focused on your studies. it will be your best credential.

and when the right time comes that you think that you are much ready going abroad, feel free to ask successful OFWs their secrets for you to live by. they are just roaming around on this site.

good luck sa'yo...masasabi ko lang mag-aral ka pa ng maigi lalo na sa English mo.....kahit simple construction lang ...ang importante yung grammar na mailagay sa tama....cheers po.

Iho, pilitin mong makatapos ng pag-aaral!!! alam kong may abilidad ka,,, lalo na sa English,,, sana husayan mo pa....

Hindi masamang mangarap dahil dyan lahat nag uumpisa yan!!! FOCUS at wag sasayangin ang oras sa lakwatsa at computer internet..magpakabait ka...at sana magtagumpay karin katulad ko!!!! (anak mahirap din ako at nagsikap lang para makatapos ng pag-aaral)

para sa yo geraldin, at 18 what is your education accomplishment? and at 18 I doubt if you have enough experience. teka ano ba ang iniisip mong magiging trabaho mo, armado ka ba ng sapat na kaalaman at edukasyon? don't try to think that going overseas to work will give you what are wishing for. its tough dealing with different culture, different environment.
