question to OFW in taiwan

hi im MaC, i would like to ask if it is advisable to go there in Taiwan and work as a factory worker?? im working as a call center agent at this moment.

i would like hear suggestion from you guys coz you have experience working there.

please help me decide if i will continue my application going to taiwan.

hi,i would suggest that you wait for awhile cos taiwan`s economy haven`t recovered yet.Although the salary is good but working here is only temporary.I know working in call center is a nice job and everybody is aiming to work in your company.You may try to come here but not for now.take care

hi sis Mac, going here in taiwan is ok, the salary is good. but think twice.. coz here in taiwan, you will work here only for nine years contract..after that nine years, you cannot enter here as an overseas contract worker again. and make sure that the company hired you have a lot of overtime.if no overtime, its a big regret...if you have friends that work here in taiwan before, or if you go to the agency, there's a lot of ex- taiwan there..ask them first if they know the company that you are going to.so that you have the idea...think twice.... good luck!

Hi Mac,

Im jojo from taiwan and been living and working here. going abroad is like a gamble no matter what country. you cannot say until you are already there. if you really like to go to taiwan, ask some of your friends who are already in taiwan and ask them to introduce you to her/his employer if the company is good. because even you don't have o.t., it wont be forever. the salary here is not bad and the cost of living is cheaper than those in the west.
even you don't have OT, you still cant earn it as a call center agent. besides you have a savings that you can bring home after you finish your contract.
this is what i can say about working in taiwan. its up to you if you still wanna go or not.
