 Filipino driver steals gasoline to avenge boss' decision
By Staff October 10, 2012 A Filipino driver decided to steal the petrol supplied to his own truck at a Fujeirah-based transport company after he was angered by a delay in his salary. The driver confessed to police that he stole Dh1,650 worth of diesel provided by the company to his truck and sold it in the local market. “He said he did so because of a delay in paying his wages and his manager’s decision not to allow him to travel home on holiday,”Alkhaleej daily said. It said the unnamed driver was sentenced to two months in jail but an appeals court reduced term to one month.
